Fashion Flash Back: 1980’s For All Dem’ Babies***messymandella***Whitney Houston (1985)

Age doesn’t matter!

Your size doesn’t matter!

The Color of your Skin Doesn’t Matter!
Your hair can be long, short, natural, weave, even a 1980’s mullet and Doc Martins with Crush Velvet (I don’t even know…child…)  but wear it with confidence.

You have to feel that love and admiration, even from a hater. If you prefer the 1980’s but are a little afraid, maybe have a retro party with close friends who appreciate big bangs, hairspray and layers of sock. Maybe, you are not ready for the Patti Labelle hair hat, just as of yet.

They may be  envious of you because YOU can pull it off, and you took that fashion risk.

3 women can wear the same dress, but if you don’t have that confidence, and beauty that embodies grace, you have wasted your time.

Take pride in yourself.

You are amazing, and adventurous. Those clothes, are an accessory for your unique swagger, and gorgeous face. These women are gorgeous, and all of different races an and different hair styles. You keep being confident, you with your bad ass!

All of these looks work, because the confidence is more important than the clothes.
You will stand in the light, and will have fashion mishaps too.

Don’t worry, but again if you are confident you won’t give a damn.

If you are not ready to go out with your hair stacked up to Jesus, or don’t invest in Aqua net Hair Spray have an 1980’s theme party. Don’t let someone tell you to play fashion, safe. That is not for you, if you have confidence.

Don’t worry about other’s opinions.

I don’t!

Daley – Those Who Wait (Secret Show Live) ***messymandella***

At 24 Years Old, Daley convinced the genre of Indie Soul, that he was worth the attention with his voice and stylization, years ago.

Daley  has that unique soulful voice that Neo-Soul truly requires for its unique, retro genuine taste.

Lovers of soul should advance this musical form and appreciate those in the game, that are training and paying homage to the legends in this musical game.

We always entertain what is Pop, but this is a diversion from the mainstream and considered by some as  “Grown Folks Music.”

Currently,  Daley is creating music in the studio with Pharelle Williams. Their new collaborations undoubtedly will spring forth some buzz-worthy support in the ignored music genre of Neo-Soul. Daley is a breath of fresh air in music industry and he has the chance to reap benefits in regards to his purchasing power and ability to sustain,in this music industry but stay Daley.

Daley’s voice is reminiscent to legends of soul and sopranos forefathers, such as   Prince, and Maxwell, but make no mistake about it, Daley’s voice remains his own.

Daley, still embodies soul, and classic Rhythm and Blues and his fluent song style, that no one will be able to compete with his sound based, on his determination and struggle in this industry.

Daley’s music is covered with the inner strength and narrative truth in his voice that relaxes your spirit.

Daley, reminds us that you plant your seeds to grow, and don’t just worry about the money now!

Blessings and Greatness comes to “Those Who Wait.”

Living All Alone: Factors That May Increase Suicide***messymandella***Phyllis Hyman

Suicide, leaves many unanswered questions!
Why did the person give up?
What could I have done?
Will that person go to Heaven or Hell?
Who pushed them to the edge?

Environmental Factors That Increase Suicide Risk

“Some people who have one or more of the major risk factors above can become suicidal in the face of factors in their environment, such as:
A highly stressful life event such as losing someone close, financial loss, or trouble with the law
Prolonged stress due to adversities such as unemployment, serious relationship conflict, harassment or bullying
Exposure to another person’s suicide, or to graphic or sensationalized accounts of suicide (contagion)
Access to lethal methods of suicide during a time of increased risk

Again, though, it is important to remember that these factors do not usually increase suicide risk for people who are not already vulnerable because of a preexisting mental disorder or other major risk factors. Exposure to extreme or prolonged environmental stress, however, can lead to depression, anxiety, and other disorders that in turn, can increase risk for suicide.”-http://www.afsp.org/preventing-suicide/risk-factors-and-warning-signs

Phylis Hyman commited suicide on June 30, 1995.

She was in deed Bi-Polar and dealing with depression and lonliness.

The world  knows the talent and the voice but not the honesty of each of her songs.

Excuse the quality of the tape, because her career lasted briefly outisde of Broadway Plays.

TV-One did an “Unsung” episode on the Tragic Life For The Queen Of song and heartache.

Never Forget Wing!Man In The Mirror-Beat It***messymandella***

I know the song lyrics are,”I’m starting with the man in the mirror.”
There is a 99.9% chance that Wing is singing,”I’m looking for a new pool cleaner!”
Don’t hate, she has the swagger of Rhianna and the voice of Mariah Carey.

If only Wing would go on tour…

The stadium would be packed like Rick Ross‘s lunch box.

I don’t know If I will ever have the life long dream of seeing “Wing in Concert.”

If I do, I will beg an plead that she does a cover of Rihanna‘s song, “Cake!”

“Wing” if you ever have tour dates, I will need the link.

This woman should have a Grammy.

People just don’t appreciate talent.

Patti Labelle and Aretha Franklin have to be somewhere hating on “Wing.”

That’s the problem, the world aint ready for “Wing.”

I hope Wing will join the next season of  R&B Divas…
