Tender Love-Force M D’s***messymandella

There are some exceptional songs that were either forgotten, or obscure. “Tender Love” is one of those songs! Never heard it, too young? That doesn’t mean we can’t listen and appreciate this song now.The Force MD’s still tour to my knowledge, but many of the original members have passed away. I know Jordan Knight and Alicia Keys have both covered this obscure ballad. It’s ok, to admire the clothing, and curl activator. Please pay attention to the lyrics! Everyone should have a treasured collection of music that gives you that feeling. These men are not telling anyone to get on her knee, have sex because they are famous. This is how a woman should be treated. Some one should come to your house, and treat you with respect and admiration. Some how or another we lost that, but we all deserve that respect.

Why Isn’t Faith Evans On The Top Of The Charts?***messymandella***

  •          Thinking to myself, about Faith Evans and her unsung talent. No one shows Faith Evan’s the attention she deserves. Maybe, because that entire “Faith Evan’s Is the reason Tupac and Biggie Were Beefing!” That  drama was in the 90’s, and  LET THAT GO! We will never know what happened between her and both men. Why does this overshadow this womans talent?

Faith Evans was competition for Mary J.Blige. Now Mary always has Grammy performances, and collaborations. Faith Evan’s releases an album with little or  no promotion. Now she is on a reality show, with women that were of course almost C list singers. Faith deserves so much more. Her voice is  unmatchable. She has changed her image, and still the same results.

Maybe Faith Evans should have tried to resolve her differences  with Bad Boy? When she was with Bad Boy we knew Faith Evans! So many women wanted to look like Faith Evans and loved her swagger.  She will always be one of the best singers, even if you will never see her on MTV or 106  and Park. Maybe we should focus on her music. Maybe people are still pissed  off at Faith Evans, because of Tupac and Biggie’s beef ?That  will never bring these rappers  back! Focus on Faith  and talent, and not her past, or rumors from her haters.

The WILD STYLE Of Lee George Quinones***messymandella***

What others may label as trash, can become your treasure.

What one considers treasure may become your worst enemy.

Graffiti  helped pave the way for freedom of expression for artist who didn’t have enough financial backing or resources to gain artitic direction they transformed everything  into art.

Do I want some to paint on the side of my condo?

HELL NO!

However, every time I hear a train I anticipate the free art show.

I toast to those that have entertainment me at the train tracks.

I admire those who opened the eyes for the people, that would get ignored if no one would have explored, and taken a chance.

It is art, just like Hip-Hop that explores our love for the people, and frustrations.

I disagree when Nas said, Hip Hop is dead, it is the audiences get older and the  barz are low and harder to detect.

Graffiti and art in the exposed the world to urban art in the 1970’s and 1980’s.`

Rise Up With Andra Day***messymandella***

Andra Day is a blast from the 1940′ s and a breath and glimpse of  women who are willing to  create their own legacy of rhythm and blues  and jazz vocalization. Andra is similar to the Motown sound but  is ultimately their own. Her voice also lends a bit of inspiration from Ella Fitzgerald and she is simply beautiful.

Cheers To The Fall  is a critically acclaimed unveiling of  the voice and writing ability and vision of Mrs. Andra Day. She has  musical ability that  we desperately needing in the music industry and she can now join the ranks of Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, and Deangelo. Mrs. Day is  singing and incorporates retro soul and the music industry will capitalize on pop music but what happened to soul music?

Andra’s voice is one of the best of this year and her  sound is reminiscent of  vintage compositions similar to Billie Holiday, Sam Cooke and Nina Simone  have long been forgotten, or unknown by a younger generation until now.

What Will Be Your Legacy? (Pete Rock & CL Smooth)***messymandella***

They Reminisce Over You

“We all going to die, who gonna leave the legacy?”

Who’s going to be remembered the biggest? “

“Who gonna leave the energy out here”-MAX B Quotables

If you create classics,  they stay classics. We tend to forget old school hip hop but the art form should garner more respect.

The new artist  should learn from Pioneer Artist, to cultivate their craft.

We have some artist that make a mockery out of Hip Hop, just to fill their pockets.

Hell, with this  economy people need to eat even if it means keeping it simple.

The simple songs are catchy, but you are not going to remember them in 15 years.

The culture has a few that have the knowledge, love that intelligent narrative rap gifted to the world to cherish.

Some classics are from people who career ended, while some were in Pampers.

Listen to what you missed!

Listen to unification, women being respected, and cautionary tales.

In Hip Hop, the are the Dela Soul collectives, and Flavor Unit  remain obscure.

Even with countless hip hop approval,   BET ignored them for what would sale.

Rappers with an uplifting message were  given minuscule play on BET and other Hip Hop Outlets.

Even if is deemed more lucrative than Sir Mix Alot, real classics have a message.

Now, Chants and chorus have taken over the MC‘s lyrical skill.
