Nelson Mandela: Our “Madiba” Tribute With Love ***messymandella***

Nelson Mandela lived behind bars 27 years, to break boundaries for us!

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” — Nelson Mandela

Yes, of course we are sad. But it’s like when your grandfather passes away, we celebrate their life work and we smile and we dance. We do this for him even more,” Celina Makoba told me as she clapped her hands to the traditional music that has transformed the street in front of Mandela’s home into a festival.”-people of Johannesburg

“Do not judge me by my successes. Judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.” Nelson Mandela

Quotes From Nelson Mandela (Madiba)Thinkexist.com
“During my lifetime I have dedicated myself to this struggle of the African people, I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if it needs be it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.”
“As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.”

CBS Disrespects President Obama By Calling Him ‘The Lord Of The Lies!’ ***messymandella***

From CBS News:

President Obama’s assurance that “If you like your health plan, you can keep it” was named the “Lie of the Year” on Thursday by PolitiFact, a fact-checking organization spun off of the Tampa Bay Times.

Mr. Obama’s promise, repeated ad infinitum during and after the health care bill’s passage through Congress, was a “catchy political pitch and a chance to calm nerves about his dramatic and complicated plan” to overhaul the country’s health care system, PolitiFact argued. “But the promise was impossible to keep.”

“So this fall, as cancellation letters were going out to approximately 4 million Americans, the public realized Obama’s breezy assurances were wrong,” PolitiFact explained. “Boiling down the complicated health care law to a soundbite proved treacherous, even for its promoter-in-chief. Obama and his team made matters worse, suggesting they had been misunderstood all along. The stunning political uproar led to this: a rare presidential apology.”

As long as we have mouths and unsolicited opinions we will ALWAYS have citizens that disrespect our leaders.

Now, our leaders are reduced to a popularity contest. We now have “Approval Ratings!” The moment we acknowledge that politicians are  not immortal, and make mistakes we can build as a nation. I am well aware that President Obama did in fact say, that we would be able to keep current insurance, but in any beginning stages of a plan the blue print has to be modified. In the end it is for the betterment of our nation. It’s callous horrendously disrespectful  to give him the title “Lord Of The Lies.”  That title  overshadows any of the work that the President has accomplished thus far. In this world we can speak our mind and voice our discord, but have some respect. President Obama is indeed the man calling the shots, and if we don’t have respect for him, neither will other nations.

Book Of Wisdom-& World Of Wisdom ***messymandella***I Am Not A Communist!

“Whoever wants to know a thing has no way of doing so except by coming into contact with it, that is, by living (practicing) in its environment. … If you want knowledge, you must take part in the practice of changing reality. If you want to know the taste of a pear, you must change the pear by eating it yourself…. If you want to know the theory and methods of revolution, you must take part in revolution. All genuine knowledge originates in direct experience.”

“Where do correct ideas come from? Do they drop from the skies? No. Are they innate in the mind? No. They come from social practice and from it alone. They come from three kinds of social practice: the struggle for production, the class struggle and scientific experiment.”

“The oppressed peoples and nations must not pin their hopes for liberation on the “sensibleness” of imperialism and its lackeys. They will only triumph by strengthening their unity and persevering in their struggle.”

“[Our purpose is] to ensure that literature and art fit well into the whole revolutionary machine as a component part, that they operate as powerful weapons for uniting and educating the people and for attacking and destroying the enemy, and that they help the people fight the enemy with one heart and one mind.”

“Our duty is to hold ourselves responsible to the people. Every word, every act and every policy must conform to the people’s interests, and if mistakes occur, they must be corrected – that is what being responsible to the people means.”

The health of  Nelson Mandela, 94, has deteriorated since he was rushed to a hospital June 8.  A life as a Revolutionary, he has left his footprints in the sand. He suffered and withstood countless mental torture, to regain freedom from mental chains. Locked up as a slave, treated like an animal, he rose as a Martyr. Sadness comes as the news seems bleak, to the entire world as banners and candle light vigils are seen across every continent. His life has made positive contributions that we could dare to imagine.  Nelson Mandela, knew who he was, wanted you to love and respect yourself regardless of race.

A tribal leader said Mandela had been placed on life support, no further information available at this time.

Tragically, he may leave this physical world very soon…

December 05, 2013

Update: I am sorry to even write this, but he has left his physical life. Tragically, It has been confirmed, he has passed away!
