When someone has Terminal Cancer, your saddened and in deep malevolence. When someone succumbs to AIDS typical questions of blame are asked instead of remorse.”They must have done something wrong!” “It’s God‘s punishment!” “Well, he shouldn’t have done what he was doing?” Any lost of life or impending death should be respected, and it should be a humbling experience to anyone. I have been to so many funerals, where the person said, “Ummm They had Cancer.”
We’re proud to share this new version of UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Katy Perry’s ‘Unconditionally’ video, in support of the 35 million people living with HIV, especially young people suffering in silence.
While walking inside a relatives house and glancing at a “Right On” magazine you laugh and it jogs your memory and that moment when you danced in your shiny patent leather shoes, high top fades, and reaked of “Electric Youth” perfume.
After you start flipping through that vintage magazines, you can also recollect the first time you stood with your big girl cousin to catch the bus with your brand new “first day of school clothes.” You HAD to take those clothes off, and put on “play clothes” as soon as you got home.
Grabbing your pillow and laughing with your cousin about the first day you went to New Edition concert and watched them shake their Jheri Curl juice all over the stage, at Carowinds and cried with excitement. Those nostalgic moments give you that “feel good moment” that rejuvenates your soul, even if only for a second.
No matter what you are stressing about pleasant remembrances can hyptnotize you! Those forgotten times, were the framework for you becoming you.The minimalism you buried subconciously is the frame work and the beauty that influenced your life and you. Here is Troop!
Singer Blood Orange is also using that 80′s and 90′s feeling, that refresh your mind with happier, but loving times.Even when you began to think of negativity, reach inside your side and locate that laugh, sound, or perfume that made you remember your loved ones that may have passed on, that are still dancing in their afterlife.
Gina, was once an attractive woman who had men and fancy clothes, and many suitors. This all changed when she contracted HIV, the virus that ultimately causes AIDS. AIDS, is the disease that of course, weakens your immune system and any organism can attack your system. Gina learned her HIV Status and tried to commit suicide.Yes, she tried to blow her brains out, but survived.Meet this Sister! She is not in the best physical or mental shape at this moment. We can still humble ourselves and listen to her tale. We get so caught up in stereotypes and blame when it comes to AIDS.
When the truth is right in front of you!
You saw the lesions and the wasting syndrome, and you just knew…
Quotes From Nelson Mandela (Madiba)Thinkexist.com
“During my lifetime I have dedicated myself to this struggle of the African people, I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if it needs be it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.”
“As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
“If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.”
To Every Little Girl Out There…
My little girl,
“There will always be someone who will tell you that you’re not good enough, pretty enough, or unique enough.
There will always be someone who will tell you that you’re only as beautiful as your face and your body.
There will always be someone who will tell you that your worth depends on how much attention you can get.
There will always be someone who will tell you that your education is a waste.
But I will always be there to tell you this…
The beauty within you cannot be compared to anyone else’s.” -from writer- Najwa
Live Your Life!
You are Beautiful!
I Love The Way You Respect Yourself!
You get better as you grow.
Real means authentic, not playing a part.
Real can NEVER mean anything derogatory to women.
We are the Sun and The Earth…
Let them know what you about, so they can get down or else.
Life Is Simple!
“Whoever wants to know a thing has no way of doing so except by coming into contact with it, that is, by living (practicing) in its environment. … If you want knowledge, you must take part in the practice of changing reality. If you want to know the taste of a pear, you must change the pear by eating it yourself…. If you want to know the theory and methods of revolution, you must take part in revolution. All genuine knowledge originates in direct experience.”
“Where do correct ideas come from? Do they drop from the skies? No. Are they innate in the mind? No. They come from social practice and from it alone. They come from three kinds of social practice: the struggle for production, the class struggle and scientific experiment.”
“The oppressed peoples and nations must not pin their hopes for liberation on the “sensibleness” of imperialism and its lackeys. They will only triumph by strengthening their unity and persevering in their struggle.”
“[Our purpose is] to ensure that literature and art fit well into the whole revolutionary machine as a component part, that they operate as powerful weapons for uniting and educating the people and for attacking and destroying the enemy, and that they help the people fight the enemy with one heart and one mind.”
“Our duty is to hold ourselves responsible to the people. Every word, every act and every policy must conform to the people’s interests, and if mistakes occur, they must be corrected – that is what being responsible to the people means.”

The health of Nelson Mandela, 94, has deteriorated since he was rushed to a hospital June 8. A life as a Revolutionary, he has left his footprints in the sand. He suffered and withstood countless mental torture, to regain freedom from mental chains. Locked up as a slave, treated like an animal, he rose as a Martyr. Sadness comes as the news seems bleak, to the entire world as banners and candle light vigils are seen across every continent. His life has made positive contributions that we could dare to imagine. Nelson Mandela, knew who he was, wanted you to love and respect yourself regardless of race.
A tribal leader said Mandela had been placed on life support, no further information available at this time.
Tragically, he may leave this physical world very soon…
December 05, 2013
Update: I am sorry to even write this, but he has left his physical life. Tragically, It has been confirmed, he has passed away! He left a legacy, untouchable to anyone that even calls themself an activist. He suffered in pain and protest for his own people, ALL OF US. Unselfishly he lived to empower pride and knowledge of self to people!
