When you woke up this morning, did you think of what had to complete before anything else?
Of course you did!
Did you take a minute and look outside and just take a breath?
Sometimes we forget the simple things.
We are programmed and don’t even realize it.
You open your eyes and look at the clock.
You debate should you go back to sleep, but then you remember that you have to pay the light bill or mail that package.
Once you remember that, you think I might as well get up, and wash clothes!
But first, you get in the shower!
While in the shower, you hope that you didn’t miss a message!
You missed that personal reflection time in the shower.
See, you like most, ignore the most important things.
You didn’t even acknowledge the Sun, your God, or the fact that you are blessed enough to visualize a new day.
Every moment is already planned from the moment you get up, to when you plan to go to the grocery store ; to even what time you will preheat the oven for dinner tonight!
You have planned to have for dinner that night at 7:25 PM.
What happened to spontaneous thoughts?
When did we forget to look inside ourselves and let that be the Compass that would guide us to a better living?
We have put a battery in our back and became a machine, just doing!
Just getting it done!
Just living enough to complete projects, because you HAVE to do it!
You missed the leaves on the ground, because you are to worried about getting them in a bag off your lawn!
That is what you are programmed to do, isn’t it?
If you took a few minutes just to imagine an earlier moment in life while sitting in those leaves you would have gained a natural reflection, but nooooo!
We have to get those leaves in that bag , by 6:00 PM.
Take time to just sit in the leaves and remember when you played Hide And Seek with a friend!
The friend that has passed away might be trying to give you a message of love.
However, you can’t do that because you have to be at the Barber Shop in in 15 minutes and 33 seconds!
You STILL have to preheat the oven!
Do I have to remind you of everything?
You have turned off your intuition and knowledge that you were born with, that Innate Knowledge.
You Forgot about the “Simple Things.”
You are searching in the wrong places for the wrong things!
You worry so much about that new leather jacket!
You missed the fact that flowers, you didn’t even plant now blooming in your yard,
and are now covering that hole by your porch!
You woke up and thought about the robotic things!
Yes, you have been a robot for a while now.
My Grandmother Bea, who had intuition, showed me how poor they really were growing up in the rural South.
She still was happy!
She showed me how to make a doll out of newspaper, because they didn’t have enough money to buy dolls.
She showed me this with a smile and pride on her face!
I was 6 and will never forget that as long as I live, because that moment shaped me.
Those are the things that matter!
Those are the things we forget!
How many moments are you missing?
Grandma Beatrice passed away when I was 9 years old and that reminds me every day, what really matters the most.
That moment was one of the most important moments in my life.
She had so much pride in her eyes showing me how to make a doll that was worthless in the eyes of most!
It was worth millions to me!
Those Simple things, helped shape who I am today!
Take time for those moments!
Do yourself some good!
Build something that will last!
Those simple moments can never be purchased, and sadly relived again!
